Born in Paris in 1951, Ms. Colin is an architect (French
Government Certified) and Member of the French National Order of Architects, the
International Union of Architects, the International Council Museums and NGOs
like “Heritage without borders”. She joined the Cultural Heritage Division
of UNESCO in 1982, were she was in charge of Museums, archaeological sites in
North Africa and the preservation of historic Islamic cities. Since 1995, she is
responsible for “Cities and Architecture” and “Social inclusion in urban
settings” at the Division of Social Sciences, Research and Policy. She is
entrusted with the overall cooperation between UNESCO and UN-Habitat in
particular for UNESCO’s participation to the World Urban Forum and for
specific projects like “Urban public policies and the right to the City:
rights, responsibilities and citizenship” or “Urban policies and migrants
inclusion”. |
